# Data-subject request

Under the GDPR, you can ask Fohrkast to show, correct, or delete your personal data. Fohrkast responds within one month and may verify your identity first.

## What you can request

Fohrkast handles seven types of GDPR data-subject requests:

- **Access**: View the personal data Fohrkast holds about you
- **Rectification**: Correct inaccurate personal data
- **Erasure**: Request deletion of your personal data
- **Restriction**: Limit how Fohrkast processes your personal data
- **Portability**: Receive a copy of your data in a portable, structured format
- **Objection**: Object to the processing of your personal data
- **Consent withdrawal**: Withdraw consent you previously gave

## What data Fohrkast may hold about you

Your request can concern:

- Account data (if you are a Fohrkast customer user)
- Public website scan data (from using Fohrkast's automated accessibility checker)
- Shield consent records (from the consent widget)
- Data related to your role as a website visitor or end user of a Fohrkast customer

## How to submit a request

1. Complete the form with your name and email address.
2. Select your relationship to Fohrkast (website visitor, customer user, customer end user, or other).
3. Choose the request type that applies to you.
4. Provide details about the data or account your request concerns. Do not include passwords or payment card details.
5. Submit. You will receive a reference number.

## Response timeline

Fohrkast will respond within one month, as required by the GDPR. Fohrkast may contact you to verify your identity before acting on your request. Fohrkast uses your email address to verify your identity and send its response.

**How long does it take to respond?**
Fohrkast responds within one month of receipt, as required by GDPR Article 12. The response may be delayed if identity verification is required.

**Do I need to include sensitive information?**
No. Do not include passwords or payment card details in your request. Provide sufficient detail about the data or account so Fohrkast can locate your information.

**What if I need to submit a request on behalf of someone else?**
